corner view: favorite clothes

Corner View is a weekly appointment - each Wednesday - created by Jane (Spain) and curated by Francesca (Italy), where bloggers from all corners of the world share their view on a pre-arranged theme. The theme this week is "favorite clothes" and comes from Elsa (France).

During autumn and winter when the days grow shorter, there's a bite in the air and the chill seems to creep into my bones. That's the signal to pull out my warm sweaters and wooly socks. Thick, rough and ever so warm, there's nothing quite so comforting in my wardrobe.

Ha, ha, you're right. Nothing nicer than wool socks in the winter, I also have some.
In the background, I guess a old sewing machine table ... Singer? ;)

Yes, a beautiful old Singer. Sewing machines were pieces of art back in the day. It's covered with beautifully painted decorations in green and gold. I rescued it from the attic of an overlooked antiques shop!

Your like my husband, he like to wear big thick socks like this. My feet on the other hand have to be free or thin socks, I need my feet to breath. Have a great week!

I do love the opportunity to winter in a warmer climate, but I miss wrapping up in warm, snuggly clothing!

I too was admiring your singer stand! I have one (they weigh a ton, don't they?), but it's sitting in the barn, because we don't actually have space in the house. Wool socks? Must make a pair! :)

I agree re the socks! Whenever I travel somewhere cold, warm feet are the most important thing or else I am miserable, cranky and not so fun to be around!

I think I feel that way. I need thick socks very quickly, because I'm cold very quickly. By autumn I wear thick socks.

I have some socks made by my grandmother and my mom...love them, they are twice cozy...for the wool and for being made by them

These socks looks very comfortable for cold feet. I'm a little bit envious

we live in an appartment in the middle of our building. so even though we heat only the bathroom, so much warmth seeps through floor, ceiling and two other sides, it is too warm to wear wooly socks even in the grips of winter.

It sounds like the only one who finds wool socks itchy. I wear a thin liner sock with them when I wear them. But I do love a good pair of socks.
