Oh, it's a good idea to show us a painting to illustrate this topic. There are always lots of very interesting details to see.
So very lovely. Our Museum of Fine Art is hosting The Age of Impressions. I went two years ago and I am looking forward to going at Christmas time.I am a small moment person but this will be a big moment for me.

those hands holding the flowers....it seems like nothing, some simple strokes...and all the small strokes makes a beautiful painting!
